Description: We shall be looking at coloured and stained glass in England from the 6th century to 2023. First session will look at experiments and discoveries. Second – design, support, donors. Third – Bible, Saints – their symbols & legends. Fourth – 12th & 13th centuries. Fifth – Canterbury Cathedral guided tour. Sixth – 14th & 15th centuries. Seventh – 16th century & iconoclasm. Eighth – Heraldry, 17th & 18th centuries. Ninth – 19th century revival. Tenth – Modern Glass.
