The group visits gardens often from the NGS. Sometimes the Head Gardener of the property will give a talk. The afternoon often ends with tea and cakes.

Garden Visit
After a brief introduction, we will stroll around 12 acres of gardens surrounded by countryside, featuring a rose garden, Italian and walled gardens and numerous herbaceous borders. We will then meet up for tea and delicious home made tray bakes in Godinton House Parking and toilet facilities available For more details contact Lynne Parkinson Please book by September 13th

u3a Garden Visits

Join us on our next garden visit on Monday 13th July to

Stable House, Heppington, Lower Hardres, Canterbury, CT4 7AN

Open by special arrangement for our u3a group, Stable House is situated off the west side of Fausset Hill, Lower Hardres. (More details after booking).

Please meet at the venue by 1.45pm for 2.00pm start, with £6.00 each in cash for the NGS.          

After a short introduction by the owner, we’ll stroll around a 5 acre wildflower meadow with adjoining 2 acres of relaxed planted gardens and views over the North Downs and the owners' vineyard. 

Parking and toilet facilities available.

There are no refreshments offered but picnics can be eaten in the garden, oralternatively, why not join us afterwards at Poppies Tea Room at Thompsons Garden Centre, only a 3 minute drive away.
