Outings
We run a series of day trips each year, usually by coach, and usually departing from Canterbury Bus Station.
In 2026, we are planning to run a follow-up visit to Maidstone with a river cruise in summer, a trip to Rochester in the autumn, and a trip around Greenwich with a river and coach tour around the London Lights in the run up to Christmas.

Holidays
Each year we organise a couple of (usually) 5 day residential holidays to explore various parts of the country. Our holidays include tours of places of cultural interest (Historical Houses and Gardens, Museums etc.) as well as opportunities to explore towns in free time. Transport is by coach. We invite one or two member travellers to research the places that we are visiting and give a short presentation on the coach.
The Canterbury u3a holiday working group are developing itineraries for 2026 as follows:
11th - 15th May : West Sussex - Sold Out
14th - 18th September : The Cotswolds

The working group continue to seek an individual or couple who can manage the administration and lead the group during each holiday week.
