| Description: | Stoicism was one of the most popular philosophical systems in the ancient world. It flourished throughout the Hellenistic and Roman periods. It was a philosophy applied to everyday life, a way of living. We will examine its history, principal ideas and the major Stoic authors, including Seneca and Marcus Aurelius. |
The course is aimed both at those with a general interest in philosophy and those interested in ancient history and culture, and contemporary approaches to well-being.
