| Description: | We will read ( in English) 'Memoirs from the House of the Dead' by Dostoevsky, 'One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich' by Solzhenitsyn , and 'Patriot' by Alexei Navalny; and discuss similarities and differences between the Russian penal systems under the Tsar, Stalin and Putin. |
