| Description: | We shall be reading in the original Greek language a selection of Prose and Poetry. Prose to begin with -a Plato dialogue, in Peter Jones' excellent introduction 'The Intellectual Revolution', which explores the nature of political power. While in Poetry, we shall have the delight of descending to the Underworld in Homer's Odyssey, Book XI, and meeting beautiful heroines and brave heroes. A working knowledge of classical Greek to GCSE/O Level standard will be assumed. |
