| Description: | ‘Inventions of the March Hare’ was Eliot’s inscription on his poems as he left Harvard. Irony of one kind or another, protective yet richly creative, remained necessary to him throughout the poems studied in this course. They are found in the Collected Poems 1909-1962, and also in the older Poems 1909-1935. |
